Knappmann Law recognized a void to be filled for a one-stop estate planning law firm. Uniquely combining estate planning law services with the vast complexed legal modules of elder law, and all legal areas that apply was perfect for the Downriver Michigan clientele. This truly gives us the edge on our competition.

JOHN KNAPPMANN BACKGROUND:

Over 30 years of full time heavy courtroom strategic negotiating, litigation, trial experience, (includes 12 years as a former Wayne County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney & Civil Litigator), John has seen cases from the beginning through to the end. We never use another law firm or outside attorneys to "help" or "perform" litigation or go to court for us (as other law firms and attorneys occasionally do).

Whether your legal situation is estate planning, probate, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, elder law, criminal defense, the best defense is never having to go to court! Exercising the current laws to your benefit is what we do best and the outcome for our clients. Having an effective attorney can be the difference of thousands of dollars, diminish stress and streamline your legal situation for you.

WE HAVE THE EDGE ON OUR COMPETITION....

He knows how to present you, what the prosecution looks for and how to defend you and your rights. He has extensive experience representing the plantiff's legal side as well. John's experience is not limited to Wayne County, he also frequents the surrounding county courts since he established Law Offices of John Knappmann, now has become Knappmann Law.

  • John Knappmann has another advantage that other attorneys do not have. John has vast experience working directly within the various branches government. John previously was an executive responsible for Government Relations & Special Projects. In addition, he performed extensive work in conjunction with Corporation Counsel. He is very familiar with the inner-workings of the government, honed his professional skills and possesses a unique familiarity with the halls of government where he has created many liaisons.

  • Member of the Michigan State Bar Probate Section (not all attorneys that practice probate law and estate planning are members of this section of the Michigan State Bar - Because it is not required).

  • John Knappmann enrolls in continuing legal education (an option for all attorneys - not mandatory) and he keeps his clients updated with the ever changing state and federal laws that may apply to your case and your legal rights when it comes to protecting you and your estate assets.
